The King's Head Hotel in Richmond provides quality accommodation and boasts an excellent restaurant. The hotel makes an ideal base to discover the beauty of The Dales and the charm of the market town of Richmond, which has a Norman castle, abbey, three museums and the Georgian Theatre Royal, which is the oldest theatre in England where performances are still held in the original setting. We have 30 beautifully appointed en suite bedrooms, each individually decorated and furnished for your comfort. All of our rooms are equipped with direct dial telephones, baby listening, hairdryers, hospitality trays and clock radios. The bathroom floors and walls are decorated with Italian tiles and a number of rooms have corner baths. A delicious selection of food is created each day by the hotel's kitchen team. Lunches and suppers are served in the bar along with a pint of hand pulled beer or wine chosen from the excellent selection. Upstairs in the warm ambiance of the award winning restaurant, dinner is available each evening, complimented by a choice of wines from around the globe. Morning coffees and afternoon teas are enjoyed in the Clock Lounge, where there is an interesting collection of working clocks and, in the cooler months, a welcoming log fire. Wedding receptions are held in the the hotel's Georgian ballroom, which provides the perfect setting. This elegant room with its tall sash windows features a large dance floor, stage and adjacent cocktail bar and spacious banqueting seating for one hundred and thirty guests. Weddings with a literary theme can be held in the unique Georgian Theatre Royal, which is just around the corner from the hotel. Marry on stage with your guests as your audience then head back to the hotel for your reception. The Panelled Room is a private room, available for special occasions such as business meetings, luncheons, dinners and intimate parties. For functions and conferences, the ballroom seats 150 theatre style and there are smaller meeting rooms available.

Jane and David welcome you to their lovely Georgian farmhouse and converted stable courtyard. A delightful 600 acre mixed farm in the heart of Herriot Country, set high in the hills, three miles from Richmond and with wonderful views of the dales. It is a busy working farm run by David, his father Gordon and brother Andrew. We grow corn, potatoes and run a heard of hill cows and sheep. Guests are welcome to wander round the farm and enjoy the freedom and tranquility of the countryside. The stone built farmhouse, featured on TV's "Wish You Were Here" holiday program, is a most attractive Georgian house facing south with unusual bay windows overlooking lawns that slope gently to a stream.
