The warmest of welcomes awaits you at Roseneath, home of Bill and Sarah Clarke. Constructed in 1881, when Oban was expanding as a Victorian tourist resort, Roseneath was built as a family home for a Mr and Mrs Porter and their nine children. Today the house stands as a testament to the fine craftsmanship of those days, from its solid granite exterior to the beautiful internal plasterwork of the ornate ceilings and splendid original Oregon pine staircase.
The hotel is delightfully situated on the Esplanade with views across Oban Bay to the hills of Mull. The Oban Bay has a sun lounge which stretches the length of the hotel affording guests spectacular views. The Oban Bay Hotel is located on the edge of Dunollie Wood and the Esplanade overlooking Oban Bay and the Firth of Lorne. Originally a large private house, the hotel has been tastefully extended to include spacious and modern bedrooms, an open plan foyer, lounge and bar.
