Maenllwyd has been owned by Margaret and Nigel Vince for over 25 years. It is a former Victorion Manse having been built in the late 19th century and is set in half an acre of gardens. There is a lounge exclusively for our guests use and this has TV, games and books. At the back of the house is parking for approx. 10 cars and a garage for storing bicycles. The large garden makes a pleasant spot to sit during the fine weather. Machynlleth is situated on the Glndwr way which is a long distance walking path and also on Sustrans route 8 (cycling route). It is rapidly becoming well known as a mountain bike area with 4 graded routes to suit all abilities.

Dolbrodmaeth Riverside Hotel   

Dolbrodmaeth is essentially a Country House Hotel affording 11 en-suite rooms. It was originally part of the grand Buckley Estate in Dinas Mawddwy. It is believed that the house was turned into an Inn to supplement income. Its hey-day was to come several decades later, when, in the 70's it became quite the hot spot for live entertainment. In 1982 an unfortunate fire swept through the hotel and it would be nearly twenty years and an extensive refurbishment later that gives us what we see today. The building has a traditional stone and slate construction on the outside yet all the benefits of a high specification build and comforts of a modern interior.

The Wynnstay was once the coaching inn for the Shrewsbury Stage. It has long been place for the weary traveller to rest. As the main hotel in the centre of town, The Wynnstay is a major social centre, a place to meet old friends and to make new ones.
