Druskininkai, Lithuania is Our Featured Location The health resort Druskininkai is situated in the very south ofLithuania not far from the borders of Poland and Byelorussia. It is about 300 kilometers away from the Baltic Sea, and it is 103 meters above the sea level. Druskininkai celebrated its 200 th anniversary in 1994. The population of the town is about 20.000. It is not only the name of the resort itself that makes Druskininkai a well-known town. The famous artist M.K. Ciurlionis also lived here. Those who come here can visit his memorial museum. Even a most voluminous book of pictures about Druskininkai would fail to show all its magnificence and prosperity. Much is left unshown and can only be experienced personally. |

| The hotel is located in the old part of the spa town Druskininkai, where the excellent position, cosy environment and privacy of the small hotel offer excellent conditions. In 1909 the original Hotel Central was located here, and was managed by the parents of world-famous sculptor Jacques Lipschitz. Later the building was used as the city health centre. In 2007, after complete restoration of the building, the hotel was restored, along with its name, back in to a hotel. There are two meeting halls (12 to 25 people) equipped with up-to-date conference equipment necessary for meetings and seminars. Meeting halls may be rented together with the complex of sauna and massaging baths. | ||
